Stella Limbert Obituary
STELLA LIMBERT
ELIDA — Stella Mae Purdy Limbert, age 88, passed away October 9, 2016, at 7:30 am, at the Springview Manor Nursing Home.
Stella was born October 16, 1927 in Eastern, KY, to William E. and Tishie (Sloan) Warrens who preceded her in death. On March 29, 1952 she married Kenneth E. Purdy who died on May 22, 1974. She then married Robert Limbert on April 22, 1985 and he died on October 2, 1992.
Stella was a homemaker. She had previously worked at Westinghouse and Lima Electric from which she retired in 1980. She had also worked at Woolworth's in the food court. Stella loved to cook and keep a clean home. She was a loving wife and mother who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Stella is survived by her 3 children; Timothy (Lori) Purdy of Elida, OH, Deb (Steven) Pitson of Lima, OH and Sandra (Stephen) Johnson of Celina, OH, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 5 siblings; Earl (Ova) Warrens, Leonard Warrens, Ezra (Betty) Warrens, Eula (John) Bilopavlovich, and Marie (Andy) Hamilton.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10:00 am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Pastor Brad Taylor. Burial will be in the Elida Greenlawn Cemetery following the service.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Lima Community Church.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers, and we so wish we could be there with all of you. Aunt Stella was truly one of the sweetest, and kindest people I have ever known, and we know she will be missed terribly. I have many great memories of her and my grandma together, and I am sure they are doing a lot of laughing in heaven.

I have many found memories of Stella in high school. I can't believe she covered for us when we skipped football practice and went to the Ohio State Fair. You should be proud.
