Arthur Lennon Obituary
Valley Cottage, NY - Arthur Patrick Lennon of Valley Cottage, NY passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Nyack Hospital. He was 70 years old. The son of the late Arthur and Florence Hildesheim Lennon, Arthur was born on September 19, 1950 in Yonkers, NY. The Lennon's then planted their roots in Stony Point, where Art and
his three brothers used to "borrow" the horses from a local stable to go riding. That is until they got caught!
Art was a 1968 graduate of Albertus Magnus High School. He continued his education, receiving an AAS from SUNY Farmingdale where he also met the love of his life, Graceann. Art went on to graduate from Western Michigan, where he received a BS in Aerospace Engineering. Art worked for Johnson Controls and EUA Cogenex. His career in building systems included designing systems for Citifield and the World Trade Center Memorial Waterfalls, just to name a few.
When he wasn't working, finding time on or near the water to go fishing was his favorite pastime. He also was a coach to his three sons, in both Basketball and NVCLL. His love of aeronautics led him to the hobby of flying and... crashing model airplanes. He also had a great love for music, and enjoyed playing with his band during his college years.
He was a Brother, Husband, Father and Grandfather. His wife Graceann Damiani Lennon predeceased him on May 8, 2020. Survivors include his son's Damian (Wife Jennifer, Grandchildren Daniel & Sarah), Jeremy (Wife Lynda and Grandson James) and Mackenzie (Significant other Mallory Folley, children Emily and Clint) as well as his brothers Michael, Danny and Kenneth Lennon.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:00am at the Gethsemane Cemetery, 310 Rockland Lake Road, Congers, NY 10989.
