Breta Bergin of San Diego Ca. passed away July 12, 2009 at the age of 39. Born in Ridgewood, NJ on April 13, 1970 to Edward and Bernadette Bergin.Beloved Daughter to Bernadette Bergin. Beloved Sister to Christopher Bergin, Stephen Bergin, Paul Bergin, Anne Kilduff and Mary Loughman Beloved Aunt to CJ , Caroline , Brandon, Stephanie, Brett, Kacie, and Troy Bergin, Aidan Kilduff , Julia Loughman and Eamon Loughman.Beloved Godmother to Eamon Loughman .Beloved Sister-In-Law to Ulrike Bergin, Cindy Bergin, Karen Bergin, John Kilduff and Brian Loughman Beloved Cousin, Niece and Friend to more than we can name from New York, Ireland and San Diego. Beloved Teacher to the students of San Diego and New York, all of whom were special to her. Breta Bergin was born in New Jersey, and grew up in Tuxedo Park, NY. She attended Sacred Heart School and Immaculate Heart Academy HS.She graduated from NYU with honors and earned a dual degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. Soon after graduating she moved to San Diego, and was married. She earned her Masters Degree in Education while living in San Diego and worked for many years in some of the most challenging and rewarding teaching positions in this county.She loved the sunny weather and gentle, friendly ways of San Diego. Breta was a breast cancer survivor, a cat lover, a black diamond skier. She was love and light and joy. Breta was taken from this life too soon . We will miss her laughter, her brilliant wit, her sunshine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday July 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Church in Sloatsburg Inurnment will follow at St. Elizabeth's Cemetery in Tuxedo, NY.
