Duncan Sterwart Obituary
Duncan P. Stewart, of Milwaukee, WI, born in Bronxville, NY on June 29, 1920, found peace on April 3, 2011 while surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband for 64 years of Val. Beloved dad of Kathleen Pluskat, Colleen (Tom) Milnick, Duncan M. (Sandra) Stewart and Donald (the late Barbara) Stewart. Cherished grandpa of Kristopher and Karen Pluskat; Marci Milnick; Carolyn Stewart and Bonnie (Daniel) Kamps; Jodi and Kelsey Stewart. Great-grandpa of Brendan. Dear brother of George (the late Bridget Theresa) Stewart and Isabelle Becker. Preceded in death by his grandson, Gregory Pluskat and sister, Marie (Norman) Sherwood. Also survived by other family and friends. Duncan was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WW II where he met his wife, Valeria, who was serving in the US Navy. He achieved rank of Captain and served on the USS Comfort, a hospital ship. Duncan was on board the ship when it was hit by suicide bombers in 1945 in the Pacific. Funeral services for Duncan will be held on Thursday April 7, 2011 in Milwaukee.
