Kathleen Atkinson Obituary
AGE: 91 • Somers
Kathleen M. Atkinson of Somers, NY, died on August 20, 2017. She was 91. Mrs. Atkinson worked as a Supervisor at NY Telephone Co. in NYC, before retiring in 1986. Mrs. Atkinson was born in 1926 in NYC, to Edward and Mary Gillick. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Hunter College. In 1968, she married Walter Atkinson, who predeceased her in 1994.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Somers. Mrs. Atkinson will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and love of family.
Mrs. Atkinson is survived by two nieces, Roberta Moran and Catherine McTamney; three nephews, Brian, Kevin and James Gillick; five grandnieces, five grandnephews, two great-grandnieces and one great-grandnephew.
Calling hours are Tuesday, August 22nd, 3 - 7pm, at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 23rd, 10am, at St. Joseph's Church in Somers. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice in Westchester & Putnam; vnahv.org.
