SEAN O'NEILL Obituary

Sean G.C. O'Neill, victim of the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, is among the missing and presumed dead. A resident of Rye, Sean leaves behind his bride of three months, Holly Anne (Devine) also of Rye and their unborn child. Son of James Corbett and Rosaleen Doyle O'Neill, Sean was born in Rome, Italy May 24, 1967, where his father was a newsman. His family returned to the U.S. in 1975 and Sean entered Rye's Resurrection grammar school. He graduated from Rye High School in 1985. He was a good-natured and witty young man who played football and lacrosse. He earned a BS from the University of Massachusetts at Boston in 1991. Sean started at the New York Stock Exchange in 1992 working for an independent "Two Dollar Broker". Later he joined the brokerage firm of Neuberger Berman and then moved in 1996 to the Twin Towers 104th floor offices of Cantor Fitzgerald. In addition to his wife and parents, Sean is survived by his sisters Katie Wilson of Yardley, PA, Mary Hinlicky of Stamford, CT and Brigid Lamon of Philadelphia, PA and brothers-in-law Fred Wilson, Todd Hinlicky and Alec Lamon, nephew Timothy Corbett Wilson and niece Madeleine Lamon. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Rye's Church of the Resurrection, September 29 at 10 am. The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home, 1036 Boston Post Road, Rye, September 28 from 4 pm to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the Sean O'Neill Family Education Fund, c/o Holly D. O'Neill, 25 Milton Rd., Rye, NY 10580.
