FLOYD "PAUL" DUNN, PhD, CPA , 92 of Ashburn, Virginia passed on Monday, February 13, 2023.

Born Saturday, March 1, 1930, in Vincennes, Indiana to the late Rev. Floyd B. Dunn and the late Eulalia (Glenn) Dunn. Paul grew up in College Corner, Tipton and Frankfort, Indiana where his father pastored churches. Paul spent many of his summers working with his brothers at his grandfather Glenn's farm near Vincennes, Indiana. After graduating high school from Pilgrim High School in Frankfurt Indiana in 1948, Paul enrolled in classes at Purdue University to begin work on his Bachelor's degree. He eventually transferred and completed his BS in Education from Indiana University in 1952. Paul then continued his education graduating from the University of Richmond with his Masters of Commerce in 1965, and then his PhD in Business Administration from American University in 1973. His pursuit of continued education led to the successful completion in obtaining he Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) certification.

Immediately following his college completion, Paul served his country as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning from a tour in Japan, he taught high school before starting a successful career in civil service. Paul returned to government service for a few short years to work again at FEMA.

Paul, fondly known as Papa by his grandchildren and Great-Papa by his great-grandchildren, was a doting, active grandfather. In an effort to remain busy and possibly provide employment opportunities for the grandkids, he started Paul Vending. That business quickly grew to over 50 locations. He remained active with this business until the age of 86. He was loved by all at each location.
