Agnes Meyer Obituary
In 1964, her family transferred to Titusville, FL. Agnes worked as a nurse anesthetist at Jess Parrish Memorial Hospital. Thereafter, she worked at the Brevard County Health Department as a public health nurse. She was working with disabled children at Children's Medical Services in Rockledge, FL upon her retirement at the age of 72.
Agnes was an advocate for children and the elderly. She was one of the founding team of nurses of Hospice of St. Francis in Brevard County. She volunteered in the SNAP program for the elderly. At one point in her life she spent her free time catering weddings and social functions. This included making gallons of coleslaw for the St. Teresa Fair.
Our mother knew no stranger. She will especially be remembered for her kindness, quick wit, spirit of adventure and her love of children, family and God. We were blessed to have her in our lives.
Survivors include Paul, her spouse; her six children, Paul E. Meyer, Jr. Mims, FL, Rita G. Meyer Merritt Island, FL, Jeanne M. Meyer Orlando, FL, Matthew G. Meyer (Terri) Okeechobee, FL, Annette M. Meyer Titusville, FL and James F. Meyer Pensacola, FL; her four grandchildren, Geneva, Christina, Andrea, and Breanne; and three great-grandchildren, Hailey, Kendal, Madison; and her youngest brother, Joseph Sabatine, of Conestoga, PA.
A visitation will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at North Brevard Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, November 5, 2010 at St. Teresa Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be sent to your American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

Embrace them, and use them as an opportunity to send up a special bouquet of love to your mom, with all your thoughts, memories, and prayers. Many tears are blurring my eyesight while reading these entries. Even though we didn't see Agnes as much as we wanted, I loved her phone calls to keep us atop the Sabatine family news. As been said so eloquently, her quick wit and caregiving talents, not to mention her warm welcome to her home, won't be forgotten.

Please know you are all in our thoughts, heasrts 'n prayers. These are difficult days, we know. But, all the wonderful memories and experiences with your Mom, wife and/or friend ... Agnes, will get you through these days. Agnes was a strong "lady" that always had a bright smile 'n quick word of 'positiveness', be it a compliment, encourgement, or even kickin' your butt when necessary! Either way, she said it with a smile and you ALWAYS felt better for havin' just five minutes with her! Agnes ~ you will be missed by so many! We all love you! I know we're all sad you're gone but happy to have such a special Guardian Angel!

The world lost a wonderful woman but she leaves behind an amazing legacy with all the people she has helped, all the patients she has healed and all the lives she has touched. She will always be remembered with great kindness and her strong spirit will continue through her children and all the people who loved. I'll always remember the times during high school when I came over to visit Cannon. Your mom was always so relaxed and laid back. She made me feel right at home. I'll miss her. May God bless her and your entire family.

Agnes, thank you for all the great talks and the entertaining text messages. It was always know when you text Agnes, she was going to text back and forth all day and night! I always looked forward to what she was going to text next! You are and always will be a special person to me. You loved my niece (your great grand daughters) so much and treated Brandon and Aiden as your own great children. I will never forgot the pep talk you gave me when My Dad passed! And they bond you had with my Mom will never be forgotten! I'm so lucky to have an Angel like you! Give my Dad a hug up there and don't have too much fun with out us! Love you Always!

My first exposure to an Italian family!! Oh, the noise and the handwaving, I was so taken aback. But got over it real quick. Never a dull moment in your house. She made you feel right at home. Loved her, and was so glad I got to talk to her at Jeanne's birthday. She was still so lively and fun-loving (hmm, who does that remind me of . . .?) And I'll never forget her lifelong quest for a swimming pool. Hope she has lots of them in heaven.
