So sorry to hear of Andy's passing. His friendliness and smile was his calling card. I would run into him occasionally at St. James. One of the finest gentleman that I have ever known. Prayers to his family. Larry Liebert (former KBOA official)

I only met Andy once. But, have been a friend of his family and sons for years. The true testimony to a man's life is the quality of the generation he leaves behind.
Andy has left a family legacy that is rich with enthusiasm and joy of life. No person could ask for anything more, or had as big an impact on so many people. Both in the past and future through his family sharing his gift of love.
Rest In Peace Andy . . . Your time on this earth was well spent!

My sincerest condolences to Andy's beloved family of whom he was so proud and to his many friends. He will certainly be missed by all. I knew Andy from County/Metro government and the newsletter, The County Connection. Andy was a class act who deserves a standing ovation and many Bravos for his patience, kindness and sense of humor. Rest In Peace, Andy, you will be a tough act to follow.

What a loss. Andy had a huge heart, a tremendous sense of humor, and love for all those around him. I will miss him! I hope he's beat boxing with Jam Master Jay right now.

Andy was not only one of the best referees I have seen, he was more importantly my Friend, We called each other "Roomie" because we roomed together at the 10th Regional Tournament. A funny story, Andy, Frank Sims and I worked the finals of the National Tournament for the Deaf, at Freedom Hall. During the Championship Game, Andy called 4 of 5 fouls on this young man, including the last one. Leaving the court, the player ran by Andy, pinched his nose and said, "NA NA NA, so Andy called a T on him. I was trying real hard to keep from laughing. This is the Andy I knew, serious, but funny. I will miss my Roomie! Praying for Andy's Family.

I remember the wonderful times I had when refereeing basketball games with Andy as a member of the Kentuckiana Basketball Referees Association. He was a calm presence on the court with a great passion for the rules of the game. A true gentleman who will be fondly remembered.
