James Donald "Don" Walsh

Louisville - James Donald Walsh died December 15, 2020 at 12:15am at the age of 84 years. He graduated from St. X High School, and Speed Engineering School, University of Louisville with a masters in Mechanical Engineering; a Navy veteran served on the aircraft carrier The USS Randolph, Member American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, National Society Professional Engineers, Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers and past President of the Louisville Chapter Society of Professional Engineers, member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, charter member of University Club of Louisville, member of Hurstbourne Country Club for 32 years, retired from Walsh Engineering of which he was president and founder.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Emma Walsh, brothers Jack,Tom and Charles Kenneth Walsh and sister Naomi Anspach. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Mullaney Walsh, daughter Kelly Walsh Abell, granddaughter Brandy Abell and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank The Forum at Brookside health care for the loving care they gave to him during his illness.

There will be a funeral mass on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10:00 at Epiphany Catholic Church 914 Old Harrods Creek Rd. For family from out of town and friends who are unable to attend due to health issues, the mass will be live streamed and a link will be found at epiphanycatholicchurch.org

Ratterman Funeral Home Middletown, has attended to the cremation. James Donald Walsh will be interred at Resthaven Cemetery at a point in the future.

Kathy, you and family are in my thoughts & prayers. The funeral mass was beautiful. We've had a sad 2020. Our oldest son, Bryan, passed 2/3/20. I am thankful for my retirement since 1994. God bless all of us.
