She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert L. and Maxine Freeze Wernert.
A Celebration of Janie's Life will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Hazelwood Center, 1800 Bluegrass Ave. with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road.
