John Howard Obituary

HOWARD, JOHN S. "JIMMIE," 73, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009.

He was a retired employee of Louisville Gas & Electric, a member of Shively Masonic Lodge #951, a Ky. Colonel, and a member of Lees Lane Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Wilbur Pence; and his sister, Lillian Hart.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Betty Jean Howard; his children, Jackie Skaggs, Debra Phillips (Jerry), John Steven Howard (Sandra), Judy Cundiff (Mike), and Michael Howard; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brothers, Rex Howard, Allen, Willie, Robert and Wilbur, Jr. Pence; and his sister, Marlene Browning.

Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be noon8 p.m. Friday, after 10 a.m. Saturday.

Memorial gifts may be made to American Heart Association or Ky. School for the Blind.
