I had the pleasure of an extending stay at the Selkirk Guest House run by Lynn and Norman. They let me stay as I shared some of the work around the property. I had just come from NY to Victoria to start a job as a fisherman and when things went shaky as I got so seasick and couldnt work on the sea, Lynn and Norman, Rachel, Dave and Doug a made me feel very welcome as I stayed till I got on my feet. Sending Love and gratitude to Lynn and Family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Lynn (and Sparkles!) and Norm when we visited Victoria many times, and had the pleasure of enjoying the Selkirk House. Lynn was a special person that I was proud to meet, and she was a good friend to my daughter Amanda, who cherished their friendship. Her energy and positive outlook will be missed but will remain in the hearts of everyone who met her! Rita Harper ((Amanda Carew's mom)

Deepest sympathies from Michael Brinton. I was involved with the Riverside Community League in Edmonton when Lynn was President. The Jacksons were also neighbours on 101 a Ave for a short time. Such an energetic and upbeat lady!

Our little family says a great big thank you-thank you for making my children smile and marvel at the beautiful images you painted on their faces. I remember my 3 year old asking for a unicorn... I wondered how in the world would you do that? Without skipping a beat and telling a tale the whole time, you painted a scene of a unicorn in flight. Amazed, we walked away, huge grins on our faces. Thank you so much for thinking outside of the square box we sometimes live in...
Condolences and thanks to your family for sharing their mother/wife with all of us.

Through many years, my closest sibling, Lyn, was a friend to my heart. Losing her is sad. Her warmth, joy and humor will be missed. Her devotion to serve - her family, community, and faith, and witnessing her personal growth over the years were a real inspiration. May her beautiful soul rest in deep bliss, light, and love. She will Sparkle wherever she goes.

Dear Norm & Family--
Kathy & I are saddened to hear of the loss of a good friend, neighbour and unfailingly cheerful community league volunteer. If it wasn't for Lynn, Riverdale would be much the poorer. It was Lynn who, as league president, revived the skating rink, established the playschool and put up the basketball courts. And who could ever forget her leading the local kids of a Klondike Days parade? Or raising Canada Day celebrations to a high art in Riverdale? Riverdalians will always remember, and they send their heartfelt condolences your way.
