Margaret "Pat" Billingsley

BILLINGSLEY, MARGARET "PAT," 85, of Louisville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at her home. She was born in Butler County, KY, on July 26, 1921 to Helen Colburn Phelps and Jasper Phelps. She retired from Brown & Williamson, was a faithful member of Shively Heights Baptist Church, a Navy veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Eastern Star and the Joy Social Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Billingsley; and her brothers, Audley Tarrance, Jim Phelps and Howard Phelps. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Tabler and her husband, Gary; grandchildren, Ashley Bailey, Richard Tabler and John Tabler; great-grandchildren, Cameron Tabler and Ryan Bailey; and sisters, Edith Renfrow, June Ring, Elaine Alford and Emma Lewis; and many loving nieces and nephews. Her service is 2p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation is 2-8p.m. Wednesday and Thursday from 10a.m. until the time of the service. Expressions of sympathy may be made to her church's building fund or to Hospice of Louisville.
