Sorry to read of Bronny’s passing. Through our mother, Rita Paletta, our family is forever connected to Bronny and his siblings. Back in the 50s we shared many moments together at his home in Millbury, like sliding around in the chicken coop and getting the itches all over. . . Our hearts go out to his wife and family, and to his brothers Barry, Terry, and sister Linda.

To Linda and family,
I am so sorry to read of Bronny’s passing. Bronny was a good friend and a great guy. I always thought of him as shed park’s hippie gypsy.

I want to express my sorrow to the entire Paletta family. I remember Bronny being super smart in Math. He could do figures in his head. He was a lot of fun to hang out with while the family lived on North Maine Street in Millbury, Ma. I will especially remember the great summers our families spent in Wells, Maine I will really miss Bronny.

Bronny and I frequently clashed when I was a kid. He was 11 years older than me, and he thought I was a spoiled brat. He was probably right, especially after I raided his coin collection and spent it on candy at Danas’s Market in Lowell.
Over time, however, we grew closer. He bought me my first Bob Dylan album when I was 15, and when I visited him in Florida in 1976 he took me to a Rolling Thunder Revue concert. It was years before I realized how special that was.
Later, he sent me postcards and long letters from his travels, including his tours in the Peace Corps in Senegal and Ecuador. I experienced the world vicariously through him, and it’s fair to say I picked up some progressive tendencies from his influence.
When I once expressed an interest in marine biology as a career, he gave me a book by Jacques Cousteau. No one, including my father, loved books and learning new things more than Bronny.
He was a traveller, a teacher, and he was deeply interested in other cultures, other people, and how they thought.
Ultimately, he became a husband, father, and grandfather, roles that he cherished above all others.
I will miss him more than I can say.

I grew up with Bronny from the Reilly School, Moody and we were both members of the 1968 Graduating Class of Lowell High School. Bronny always had a beautiful smile. He was always happy and a kind soul. Popular, humble that was Bronny. I am so saddened to hear of his passing and happy to know he had a loving family. May he Rest In Peace. ❤
