Olga (Zeogas) Liakos
of Lowell; 96

LOWELL -- Mrs. Olga (Zeogas) Liakos, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday September 25th.

Olga was born on August 17, 1921 in Manchester, New Hampshire, daughter of the late Loukas and Fannie (Malatras) Zeogas. Loving wife to the late Retired Army Captain, Stephen Liakos who passed away in 1977.

She spent her early childhood in California and was educated through the California schools. Her family moved back to the New England area settling in Lowell. She became an active member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell and also the church's Ladies Philoptochos Society.

Olga worked for over twenty years up until her retirement at Hewlett Packard Company in Andover.

She is survived by her daughter, Effegenia "Jeannie" Liakos of Andover; her son, Peter Liakos and his wife Shirley of Naples, Florida; a granddaughter, Sarah (Sintros) Laflamme and her husband Adam of Merrimack, NH; a sister-in-law, Jennie (Liakos) Brunelas of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.

Olga was also predeceased by her brother Alexander Zeogas and his wife Theresa Zeogas.

LIAKOS -- Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R.LAURIN FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St. Lowell Thursday, September 28th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Her funeral will take place on Friday, September 29th at 9:00am at the Funeral Home to be followed by a service at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Holy Trinity Church, 62 Lewis St., Lowell, MA. 01854.
