Thomas Joseph Bell Jr.
Formerly of Lowell

Thomas J. Bell Jr., age 76, of West Yarmouth, MA and Juno Beach, FL died unexpectedly Tuesday August 19, 2014 at the Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, MA.

He was married to Carol (Kearney) Bell with whom he would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on October 22.

Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Thomas and Beatrice Bell. He graduated from Keith Academy with the class of 1954.

He served in the US Air Force reserves.

Tom worked as the Vice President of Sales in the US for Quaker Plastics in Mountville, PA for many years before retiring in 2002. He previously worked as a Regional Manager for Harmsco Filters in FL and as a salesman for Fox Pools in PA. In his early years, he owned and operated Bel-Aqua in Lowell.

Every year he enjoyed spending 6 months in Juno Beach, FL and 6 months in West Yarmouth, MA.

He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Lowell and St. Francis in Dracut, MA

He was a member of the American Legion in Tequesta, FL and the National Swimming Pool Institute. Over the years Tom had memberships at the Andover Country Club, the Manchester Country Club, the Bayberry Country Club in West Yarmouth, and the Palm Beach Garden Country Club in Florida.

Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters Karen Bell of Concord, MA, and Kathleen Bell Walther and her husband Eric of Pawtucket, RI; a brother, James F. Bell and his wife Josephine of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands; nieces and nephews Maribeth O'Neil Randlett, Steven O'Neil, Susan O'Neil Bent, Richard O'Neil, Daniel O'Neil, and Kathleen Wright; One Great-Nephew, Sean O'Neil.

3 to 7 P.M. Funeral Saturday at 9 AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church in Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, New England Affiliate Central Processing Center, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688 or to the charity of one's choice. Tom was a friend and classmate at Keith Academy.
