1962
2024
Danny Tillman was born July 19, 1962, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Earnest Tillman and Laura Mae (Harris) Tillman.
Mr. Tillman was a lifelong truck driver and could drive anything with wheels and some things without. He was born into a family of truck drivers and was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about all things trucking.
During his over the road travels for work, Mr. Tillman would often minister to people at delivery points in various cities across the country. He loved sharing the word of God to anyone who would listen. He started his own outreach ministry called Feed My Sheep under the leadership of Apostle Vera Roberts of Deliverance and Victory Five-fold worship ministry that included feeding anyone who needed a meal as well as offering a word from God. His ribs and greens will be missed by many as well as a lifetime of memories.
He met the love of his life, Sylvia, as teenagers and together they grew and shared. He loved hosting family gatherings and cooking for everyone. On June 20, 2007, he was joined in marriage to Sylvia Denise (Adams) Tillman, who survives.
Danny Tillman 61, of Michigan City, Indiana, was promoted from Earth to Glory on July 18, 2024. His grandparents, George Tillman Sr. and Zealyer Tillman (Edwards), Mary B. Mickey and John Wesley Harris; a sister, Tina L. Tillman; a son, Danny Tillman Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, Danila Grant, all preceded Mr. Tillman in death.
Cherishing his memories is his wife of 17 years, Sylvia Denise (Adams) Tillman of Michigan City, Indiana; his mother, Laura Mae Tillman of Michigan City, Indiana; six children, DeAndre (Monica) Grant of Chesterton, Indiana, Star Sutherland of Michigan City, Indiana, Rickey Tillman of Michigan City, Indiana, Danielle (Prince) Stewart of Mishawaka, Indiana, LaToya (Brandon) Byrd of Michigan City, Indiana, and Salaya Tillman of Wabash, Indiana; four brothers, Ernest Harris (Ardell) Tillman Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Freddie (Kelly) Tillman, Stanley Tillman and Lee (Joyce) Tillman, all of Michigan City, Indiana; 27 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, along with a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
