Alma Lindstrom Obituary

Alma W. Lindstrom Alma W. Lindstrom, 83, of Farmersville, Ohio, and formerly of Lubbock, Texas, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011. She was born in Dallas, Texas, on Dec. 21, 1927, to the late Lawrence R. and Sibyl (Richey) Atwood. Alma graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 1950. She retired from Investors, Inc., as a mortgage loan officer in 1992 with 34 years of service. After retirement, she continued to work an additional 11 years for McAfee Mortgage, finally retiring in September of 2004. She was a member of Shepherd King Lutheran Church in Lubbock, Texas, and Saint Andrew Lutheran Church in Farmersville. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert F. Lindstrom. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Pastor Larry and Elaine Lindstrom; her granddaughter, Charlotte Lindstrom, all of Farmersville, Ohio; three brothers, Lawrence R. (Yvonne) Atwood Jr., of Garland, Texas, Wayne R. (Claudia) Atwood of Pasadena, Texas, and Gary D. (Louise) Atwood of Heath, Texas; a niece; and several nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 28th, 2011, at Dalton Funeral Home, corner of State Route 4 and Weaver Rd., Germantown, Ohio. The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, 282 S. Broadway, Farmersville, with Pastor George Mornhinweg officiating. Burial will be in Holp Cemetery, Farmersville, Ohio. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Andrew Lutheran Church or Hospice of Dayton.
