As people say, life must go on. However, it has not been the same since mi querido primo Eddy went home to be with the Lord. He left such a void and at the same time, I have such beautiful memories of him. What I loved must about him? His laughter, his sense of humor and his love and dedication to his family. I feel honored and blessed to be his cousin and I KNOW, I was HIS favorite one. I loved our private chats, he wanted to "chismear" about everything and anything. We were very much alike, our love for the Cuban food, especially desserts and the Cuban music. Even though I came to this country very young, as well as he did, we kept our culture and customs alive. I loved the way he adored my parents and how special he treated them. Until we meet again Primo, you will always live in my heart. RIP

My life and our family have not been the same since my dad went home to be with God. We sorely miss his presence; we miss his laughter, his loud voice, his stories, his touch, his love. He kept us going with all his energy, support and devotion. I can't believe a year has gone by already. We will continue his legacy and will always honor him!

MI PRIMO LINDO! Eddy was more than my cousin, he was my big brother. I loved him so much! He brought so much love, joy and laughter to my life and our entire family. I am blessed with so many happy memories of his yearly trips to visit us here. His favorite places to go and eat were AYESTARAN, to eat Tamal en Cazuela, VERSAILLES for desserts like Torrejas and EL PALACIO DE LOS JUGOS to eat Patica de Puerco and drink Agua de Coco. We had that in common, we love Cuban food and we love our heritage! He was very proud of being un Cubanito!
I did not get to meet him until I was 23 when we went to Las Vegas for our Honeymoon in 1980. I saw him for the first time dressed in a black Tuxedo, working at the Frontier. Wow, what a HANDSOME AND ELEGANT MAN! he left Cuba when I was only 3 years old so I met him in this country. As we were walking out of the casino to meet Carolina at her job, people were constantly stopping him to say hello, hug him or ladies just go give him a kiss. I later asked Carolina if this did not bother her and she said, "no because I get to take him home with me." We grew very close to Eddy and Carolina and I love them dearly, they have raised their five children with such love and good moral values. I am truly blessed to be part of their family. When I was there in November and I saw how these girls and son took care of their papito with such love, kindness and perseverence, it just warmed my heart. Carolina, a dedicated and loving wife, even when feeling ill herself, was there for her husband until his last breath. This is what I call a Legacy of Love!
Primo, I can't wait until we meet again one day in the presence of our Lord. Thank you for you unconditional love, kindness, generosity, dedication, sense of humor, and patriotism. We had so much in common! We could have been real brother and sister! I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU!

Eddy was an inspiration to me for most of my adult life, he probably did not realize this but he was probably an inspiration to others as well. When i was just learning the foodservice profession he tought me alot. The number one lesson was to have fun and to enjoy it. I took what i learned from Eddy from 1976 till 1989 at the Frontier with me wherever i have worked. I still have fun and enjoy what i do and i take the "gourmet style of service" everywhere. He will be missed but his professionalism will live on in those who learned from him. All my best wishes to all, Michael Waller

We all lost a wonderful friend who will be missed dearly. What I will remember most about my friend Eddy is all the laughs we had and his wonderful sense of humor. We would laugh until the tears came and our stomach hurt. I will miss you my friend, but never forget you. Elton and Shirley Marvin Las Vegas Nevada
