JAMES AUBREY JR. James T. Aubrey, Jr., 84, of Bakersfield, Calif., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2013. He was born Sept. 25, 1929, in Youngstown, Ohio. James was a social worker for the state of New Jersey and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a cook. He was very proud to have served his country. While in the service, he met his future wife, Michiko. They had a long and loving relationship. Together they had a nursing home ministry and they would visit and sing to the patients faithfully. After his retirement he moved to Las Vegas, where he attended the Summerlin Evangelical Lutheran Church. James was preceded in death by his wife, Michiko Aubrey; brothers, John Aubrey and Joseph Aubrey; and sister, Mildred Malicki. He is survived by nieces, Louise Shultz, Carol, Betty Collom and Mary Aubrey Cook; grandniece, April Orear; and grandnephew, Charles Collom. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
