Rev. Paul Bianchi

REV. PAUL BIANCHI Born into eternal life Nov. 26, 2007, Father Paul L. Bianchi most recently served the Diocese of Las Vegas as Rector of the Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer. A native of Omaha, Neb., he was born in 1937, and completed studies for priesthood at Conception Seminary in Conception, Mo., in 1965. Fr. Paul served for a number of years in the Diocese of Des Moines, and retired in 2004. At the time of his retirement, he was serving as pastor of St. Mary Parish in Portsmouth, Iowa. He then moved to Las Vegas for health reasons, and upon request, was given his assignment at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Louise Lyons and Beverly Jean Hartman. He is survived by another sister, Suzanne Mahoney of Council Bluffs, Iowa. A memorial Mass for Fr. Paul is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer, 55 Reno Street in Las Vegas.
