13 years and I still think of you Father. I will never forget your guidance and support in my tough times. Having coffee at Starbucks and talking about God. I know you truly daved my exhusband and helped him to receive his sacrament of baptism. You inspired me to be a better Catholic. I love you and always will.

I just received my Christmas card from Fr.Romeo and was shocked and saddened to learn of his death. Fr. Romeo taught me CCD in the early 70's while he was attending St. Vincent, and I attended his First Mass in New York when he was ordained. We remained friends and continued to write one another throughout the years, especially at Christmas. My heart is heavy to learn of his passing. He will be dearly missed. I pray he did not suffer or was in any pain. He was a very kind, funny and wise man. I will never forget him and always value his friendship.

To the best boss I ever had. Say hello to your mom for us. I learned more about business and customer relations with Father Romeo than with all my MBA classes and 20 years of Wall Street experience combined. You were a great man who will be missed. Thank you for the priceless education you provided.

Our Priests are always so giving of their time and care, and we never really realize this until they are away from our parishes or lives. May God bless all those in the religious orders and may Father Romeo finally enjoy the eternal rest of God in heaven. Thank you Father Romeo for all you have done for everyone!

There are three kinds of priests: the ones no one really relates to, the super pious ones we all look up to, and a few "everyman's" priests. Father Romeo was an everyman's priest. He spoke to people at their own level, as if he was their next-door neighbor. As a result, people connected with him and listened to what he had to say. Father Romeo was an inspiration to me. He will be missed by many.

Father Romeo,

The Diocese of Las Vegas and I have lost a wonderful friend and a wonderful priest. Thank you for all that you have done for me and encouraging my vocation. I will miss your vain attempt at humor at the end of mass. You will be missed, but you are seeing our Lord face to face. Rest in peace!!

My wife and I of 33 years remember well, that young priest, with the jet black hair and the "tint" of a NY accent. It was in Trenton, NJ, when Fr. Romeo went out of his "normal" duties to persuade the chancery to allow our marriage to take place in Holy Cross Church in 1977. You will always be remembered as a genuine man of the Lord!

Father Romeo -

I will always remember that no matter how many people were meeting you after Mass...no matter how crowded the church was, you always made time to give me your blessings. You would always say that I was your inspiration. Father, you were more of an inspiration to me than you know. Please know that you will be forever missed by my family and myself.

Heaven will sing with laughter at your jokes while those you left behind will mourn you. But, we shall take comfort in knowing you have made an indelible imprint on our lives.

God Bless You, Father Romeo.
