I worked with Ruth at Dr Chenin's for years. After Il left Vegas in 85 and went back for almost a year in 2001 I was able to get in touch with her by phone and we spoke. Never got to see her again but we were very close co worker friends then. I knew her heart history when we worked together at such a young age for having had open heart surgery. For all her health issues she actually lived a very full life. Sorry to here of her passing. If her adult children see this I remember you both well too as well as your dad. It has been a month since Ruth had the surgery. I remember how hungry she was after the surgery and how good she looked after it. Only God knows why he decided to take her in that moment but I know she's in a better place now. She was so good to me and Don that there are no words to express my gratitude to her. She was such a nice person with a great , great heart and many other good qualities. I miss her so much and I miss her pineapple up side down cake and Waldorf salad!
I look back and I still can not believe that she's not with us anymore but I know she's resting in peace in a much nicer place.
I love you and I miss you!

As I sit here looking at Ruthie, it is very difficult to imagine I will never talk to her again, no more fun lunches, phone calls, exchanges of food we had prepared too much of. I have several of her momentos. She was very gifted with woodworking and painting. I have several treasures, a doggie paper towel holder, a cross on my bedroom wall with her hand painting vine on it, several lapel pins, a santa, a pumpkin with my name on it, plus others. I shall never forget her as my neighbor and friend of 28 years. I shall miss her when I return to Vegas. God Bless the family. Rest in Peace, Dear One.
