I worked with him in GM. His wife called me for his memorial to attend. I was shock to hear about him. Everything he had told me, I verified at his memorial. He was one of the two people to program the U2 spy plan that use to fly from Peshawar AirPort over Russian Territory. I am from Peshawar and I had seen the U2 Spy Plan that was short down by Russia. I knew the Air Force executives and I could roam freely at the Airport. As they all knew me. They didn't know my name but they knew my Rifle Drill blue cap that I used to wear at my school days to command my school Rifle Drill Platoon. I miss Mr. Jim Duvall badly. His missed his son so bad that he called me to be his son and offered me the plot of land for free that he had for his son. But I declined. He showed me the picture of his sister in Cherokee Indian costume. I wanted to meet her and I don't know if she is still alive as of my writing 11/04/2024. I am retired and am 79 years old senior.

My heartfelt condolences to Jim's family. Jim and I worked together at GM. He was diligent in his work and always took time for others. I only have fond memories, and was fortunate enough to have been audience to some of his great stories. I am sadden to hear of his passing.

Want to let the family know the sorrow I and all those who knew and worked with Jim at GM feel. I worked with Jim for many years at GM Research and Engineering Staff, starting back in 1968 when I was a green engineer out of school and he was an experienced technician in the Electrical Engineering Department. A great guy and a pleasure to work with.

Just received a notice about Jim. Even though I wasn't a permanent resident of the GMR staff, I was temporarily reassigned to the west dyno lab when my cell in the east lab was being repaired.
We hit it off from the start, maybe because I had also served in the Air Force. He took me around and introduced me to a lot of the people I would be working with. I especially remember one of his friends who was a knife maker. Very good memories.
My condolences to the DuVall family.

To Jim's family, my condolences. He and my brother, Lee, were good friends growing up in Huron Gardens. I had the good fortune to again after many years to meet Jim while I had a business in Mt. Clemens. Had great time talking over coffee. Lee (now gone) had great things to say about his friendship with Jim. I wish the family well. Bill Goodwin
