Macon, GA- Funeral services for Buford Smith will be 12 Noon Friday, September 1, 2017 at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Stephen Summerow will officiate. Interment services will follow in Cherry Blossom Memorial Gardens, Lizella. Mr. Smith, 61, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017.
Survivors include his wife Cheryl Jean Smith; mother, Helen Smith; three children, Tamika Ross, LaTonya Smith, Marquez (Candice) Smith; three sisters, Beverly (Alvin) Reedy-Hicks, Linda (Ronald) Moore, Elaine Mills; one brother, Donnie (Charlie Bell) Smith; ten grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family may be contacted at 1720 Crystal Lake Dr., Macon.
Jones Brothers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

My sincere condolences to the entire Smith Family. Buford and I grew up together as children and went to B.S. Ingram Elementary School. We both played on the school's football team and were good friends. I have not seen Buford in many years but I always cherished the memories of his friendship.
