Forsyth, GA- Clarence Lord Gordon passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Burial will be private. Rev. Chad Gordon will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Gordon, the son of the late Edgar Eugene Gordon and Mattie Lord Gordon was born December 4, 1921, in Commerce, Georgia. He was retired from General Motors, was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II, and was a member of Dames Ferry Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of seventy-two years, Edna Gordon of Forsyth; children, Marian Lewis (Joseph) of Toccoa, Georgia and Steve Gordon (Donna) of Forsyth; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Steve and Donna Gordon, 3039 Dames Ferry Road, Forsyth, Ga 31029.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations Dames Ferry Baptist Church, 208 Old Dames Ferry Road, Juliette, GA 31046.
