Gene Owens Obituary
Perry, GA-
Gene Owens, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 8, 2012. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Haynesville. An account has been established at CB&T Bank in Perry and Warner Robins to send contributions in memory of Gene. Gene was born in Winter Haven, Florida and was the son of the late Pelmond and Sarah Griffin Owens. He had worked at Frito Lay, and had coached at the Perry Junior League.
Survivors include his sons, Brent Owens (Stephanie) and Matt Owens (fiance, Brandy), grandchildren, Brynn, Eva, and Layne Owens, and several brothers and sisters.

Gene was a good friend to my parents. Every time I visited and saw Gene, he always had a smile on his face. He was such a nice, easy-going man and he was always so kind to my husband and I and to our girls. To Gene's family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
