Lonnie Lowery Obituary

Lonnie Eugene "Gene" Lowery -HAWKINSVILLE - Gene Lowery of Hawkinsville, GA died Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at Taylor Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 6 at 10A.M. in the Orange Hill Cemetery. Rev. Don McClung will officiate. -Mr. Lowery was a native of Laurens County, GA. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a former deacon, a World War II Veteran and a member of Mount Hope Lodge #9. -Survivors include his wife, Virginia Goss Lowery of Hawkinsville, GA; one daughter, Marsha Twining of Warner Robins, GA; one son, Jason Eugene Lowery of Atlanta, GA; one son-in-law, Bruce Twining of Warner Robins, GA; one granddaughter, Lauren Twining of Warner Robins, GA. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Evie Taylor Lowery. -Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00P.M. Wednesday, June 5 at the Clark Funeral Home. -In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 210, Hawkinsville, GA 31036 or your favorite charity. -Clark Funeral Home, Hawkinsville, GA in charge of arrangements.
