Russell Ray -GRAY - Russell Ray, 69, died Wednesday, February 21, 2007. Services will be 3P.M. Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Bread of Life Worship Center with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Pastor Matthew Brown and Pastor Ken Deloach will officiate. -Born in Crawford County, Mr. Ray was retired from Armstrong World Industries after 33 years of service and was a member of the Baptist faith. -Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sandra Ray of Gray; children, Rusty (Beverly) Ray of Macon, Scott and Michelle Smith of Fort Valley, and Craig Ray of Gray; grandchildren, Somer, Adam, Ray, Josh, Shawn, Leslie, Anna, Thomas, Sydney, Caroline; great-grandchildren, Noah and Ty; brothers, Dan and Norma Scarborough of Roberta, Jerry and Kay Scarborough of Fort Valley, Mike Scarborough of Florida, and David and Terry Scarborough of Byron; sisters, Debra and James Blackburn of Fort Valley, and Medria Ray of Warner Robins. -In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bread of Life Worship Center, P.O. Box 579, Byron, GA 31008. -The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday, February 23, 2007 at Rooks Funeral Home in Byron. The family may be contacted at 151 Jackson Avenue in Gray. -The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Heartland Hospice, Dr. Don Robinson and Dr. Laurie Tharpe. -Rooks Funeral Home in Byron has charge of arrangements.
