Arvella R. Bambrough
July 6, 1926 – Oct. 30, 2023
OREGON - Arvella R. Bambrough, age 97, passed away on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023. She was born on July 6, 1926, at home in Juneau County, close to Mauston, the daughter of John and Edna Oleson.
Arvella married Harry Bambrough on Sept. 28, 1946, in Reedsburg and they were married for 71 years. Harry passed away on Feb. 10, 2018. Arvella loved to sew, cook and play cards and especially enjoyed going to their cabin with their family and friends. She worked as a mail clerk for 25 years.
Arvella is survived by three children, Ed (Mary), Debbie (Oscar) Evenson and Steve (Linda); four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Stella; and a brother, Ervin.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, with Bob Groth presiding. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, and also from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
