Charles F. "Chic" Fitch Sr.

Charles 'Chic' Francis Fitch, Sr., age 85 of Warren, Ohio, entered eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 15, 2024. Chic was born on December 29, 1938 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Gladys Marie (nee Ormsby) Fitch and Van Fleet Fitch. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and granddaughter Jenna Fitch. He is sadly missed by a loving family: son Charles (Chuck) Fitch, Jr. and daughter-in-law Kelly (Chesmar) Fitch; daughter Connie (Fitch) Houk and son-in law Alan Houk; son Van Fitch and daughter-in-law Patricia (Patton) Fitch. Chic was blessed with, and survived by, many grandchildren: Nathan (Karla) Houk, Andrew (Dana) Houk, Paul (Kate) Houk, Matthew (Shari) Houk, Stephen (Kelsey) Houk, Jessica (Michael) Fitch, Jerrica (Michael) Russo, Cassidy Fitch, Charles Joe Fitch, Daniel (Andrenne) Fitch, David (Kathryn) Fitch, and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Jeannie (Fitch) Meredith of Pittsburgh, PA, and Winifred 'Winnie' Fitch of Albuquerque, NM. A 1958 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School, Chic worked for his family's painting contracting business and later became owner-operator. In the late 1970's, he worked for the Mahoning Valley Sanitary District as a maintenance painter until his retirement. Chic loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandchildren, and woodworking. He was very resourceful and completed many remodeling and construction projects. He was a loving father and supported his children in their future pursuits. A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
