Richard Linton Obituary

NEWTON FALLS - Richard E. Linton, age 78, fell asleep in death Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 25, 1945 in Parkersburg, WV, the son of Richard Byron and Thelma (Sayre) Linton. Richard graduated from Carthage-Troy High School (Coolville, Ohio) and worked as a truck driver. He was an elder and was active in the ministry of the Newton Falls Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years. He enjoyed collecting and restoring cars and enjoyed his friendships with the other car enthusiasts in Newton Falls. Precious memories of Richard live on with his beloved wife of fifty-four years, Frances "Aleece" (Meador) Linton, whom he married January 2, 1970; two children, Lesley Hall (Nicholas) of Parkman and William Linton (Tamara) of Newton Falls; two grandchildren, Mitchell Samas and Braxton Hall; his sister, Anita Russell (Michael) of Coolville; and his brother Jess Linton (Tammy) of Coolville. Preceding him in death are his parents and his son, Richard M. Linton. According to his wishes, cremation is taking place. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 300 Bandorr Rd, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444 on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 4:30 pm.
