Francis Heflin Obituary

(02/26/2003) Francis (Frank) Clay Heflin, 68, went to rest peacefully, Friday, February 21, 2003. Frank was born on May 31, 1934, in Paris, Kentucky, and has resided in Texas since the summer on 1967. He was a retired Project Engineering Manager from IBM, and a business owner of ``Frank's R.V. Storage'' in Georgetown, where he resided. He was a veteran of U.S. Navy Air Corp. Frank was a loving father, a kind, and a generous man. He was a visionary full of life and integrity. He was known to many as ``YKW'' or ``Brother''. Frank was wed September 24, 1956, to June Leilani Heflin, who preceded his death on June 1, 1980. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Kimberley and Scott Treaster; daughter, Valerie Kramer; son, Gregory Heflin both of Georgetown, Texas; sisters, Christine Holley and Brenda Moore; brothers, Bobby Joe Heflin and Ray Heflin; and his cousin, Melvin Stewart, all of Lexington, Kentucky. He is also survived by granddaughters, Suzette and Melissa Kramer and many nieces and nephews. Frank is also survived by the ``Light of His Heart'', Neola Wilson and her daughter, Amanda Wilson. Frank will be missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2003, at the Cook- Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2003, in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Haskell officiating. He will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville. For those desiring, memorial contributions are suggested to Veterans of Foreign Wars.
