Joyce Balogh Obituary
Etherton Balogh
Joyce Irene Etherton Balogh passed away on February 20, 2007 in Wilsonville, Ore. A public memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Calvin Presbyterian Church in Tigard, Ore. Pastor Bob Garwig will be officiating.
She was born on August 2, 1920 in Arncliff, NSW, Australia to Earnest John and Nellie Julio Etherton. She married Alexander Balogh on October 27, 1942 in Bangstown, NSW, Australia. From 1971 to 1994 she was a member of the First Christian Church, Medford Garden Club and Daughters of the British Empire. Her hobbies included gardening, knitting, arts and crafts.
Survivors include her husband, Alexander Balogh; daughters, Jill-anna Goodness and Diane Jackson; sons, A. Byron Balogh and Keith Balogh; and sister, Shirley Etherton Leves of Gordon, NSW, Australia.
Contributions can be made to Legacy Hospice of McMinnville, Ore.
Arrangements are handled by River View Cemetery Funeral Home in Portland, Ore.
