Hello. My name is Debbie and I am lucky enough to be a neighbor to Nina. My father and grandparents were from Island Falls and when Nina and I were introduced by her wonderful neighbor Carmen, we discovered our connection. You see, Nina was named after my very own great aunt. Her name was Nina Joy, and she was a twin sister to my grandmother. Nina (Record) Joy was born in 1870. She never had children of her own, but when she was in her fifties she became happily involved with Nina Irish, who was born in her home and named after her. I was so thrilled to hear this news, as I had heard that Charlie went to Island Falls often, but I did not know him, so I never had a chance to ask him about his old acquaintences. Now I know that he went back to that place in his old age, not knowing that he was very sick, seeking a little Mercy. God knows that we all need a little Mercy, and Charlie received a large share of that when Nina Irish agreed to be his wife. She has been his connecting angel these last two years, and we - her new neighbors and friends - admire her and love her for it. Thank you, Nina (Irish) Main Dwyer. Welcome to this place. I hope you stay. I am proud to be your new friend. Love, Debbie Caldwell
