Mary graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford, Conn., and earned a bachelor of science at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Conn., in 1980. She was employed by the Perkin-Elmer Corporation in Wilton, Conn. for 34 years followed by 15 years at the Silicon Valley Group/ASML in Ridgefield, Conn., retiring in 2004. While in Connecticut, she volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. In Maine, she volunteered at Maine General Hospital in the Risk department.
Mary was proficient in knitting, weaving, stained glass, quilting, caning and rug hooking, much to the benefit of her friends and family.
Mary is survived by her sister, Joan Burke Fedor, of Wells, Maine; two nieces, Suzanne Martino and Kathryn Cappiello, and a nephew, Michael Fedor; four grand-nieces, Ashley and Kayla Martino and Harvest and Raven Fedor, all of Connecticut. Mary also is survived by many beloved cousins in New Brunswick with whom she spent many memorable childhood summers.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at Granite Hill Estates on Friday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's church in Wells on Monday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, 15 Strawberry Ave. P.O. Box 819, Lewiston, ME 04243 would be appreciated.
