Robert Tibbetts Obituary
1952 - 2016
MERCER - Robert B. Tibbetts Sr., 63, passed away on May 11, 2016, at his home. He was born on Nov. 18, 1952, in Farmington, the son of Marie (Morrill) Tibbetts.
He was educated in the schools of Skowhegan and graduated from Skowhegan High School in 1972. He was employed for many years at Tim Lambert Farms in Norridgewock, and was also a self-employed logger for many years.
He enjoyed pony pulling, horse pulling, coyote and coon hunting, taking care of his animals, going to the fairs in the summer, farming, and working around his home.
Robert is survived by his son, Robert Tibbetts Jr. and wife Amy of Mercer; daughter, Heather Tibbetts of Mercer; three grandchildren, Courtney Ferrara, Kaylee Tibbetts and Colby Tibbetts of Mercer; and five sisters, Lois Stratton and husband Doug of Rome, Ann Smith and husband Sid of Norridgewock, Nancy Tibbetts of Skowhegan, Mary Barnes of Skowhegan, and Carol Merrithew of Farmington.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016, at 6 p.m. at the Mercer United Methodist Church. Arrangements under the direction and care of Dan & Scott's Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Rd., Skowhegan.

Please accept our sincere condolences. Being high school friends and classmates, it was always fun to "catch up" with Robert on the rare occasion that our paths would cross.

So sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed conversing with him. He was always friendly and had a great sense of humor. He would always wave as I drove by on my way home. Those small gestures and his friendly smile will be greatly missed.
