I worked with George at SMVTI from 1977 until his retirement in 1983. He was the best and one of the original Preble Hall Irregulars.

I was lucky to have Mr. Paradis for English at Deering High. Our class was one of the last he taught at DHS before moving to SMVTI. He was witty, interesting, dedicated, and could make his students love English as he did.
Many yeras later, he came into a store which I managed. I recognized him right away; amazingly, he recognized me as well. I felt wonderful when he said he recalled what a good student I was; although I knew he was being kind. More recently, I met him again through fundraising work for the PSO. We had a long conversation; and I realized that he truly remembered and cared about so many former students.
Mr. Paradis was one of the greats; and the world is a littleless special without his wit and grace.

I remember George Paradis very well. As a student at SMVTI in 1970 he was a breath of fresh air. This was a time when you never knew if your draft number was up and your next stop would be Vietnam. His sense of humor was off the charts;we learned a great deal from him. He was a delight to be around and you never knew when a pun was right around the corner. He impacted many students and will be greatly missed. Thank you George.

Wonderful memories of George: twenty years at SMVTI, long talks, tension easing walks around campus, enjoyable evening visits, and forty five years of continuing friendship. Mabel and I will always remember our dear friend. Charles and Mabel Franco
