Memories of Bill Paolantonio will ever light up vividly in my mind. As bright, competent and funny as he was, he could have succeeded in any endeavor he chose, AND he succeeded in making life beautiful for others. He was an Everyman who walked with kings while maintaining the common touch.

Today I was thinking of Bill; an amazing guy I held in high regard when I first started in television around 1986. Upon Googling his name, I was deeply saddened to see he had passed back in 2014. I regret not keeping up our friendship after leaving Woody Fraser Productions in 1992. He was a joy to be around. His producing partner, Earl Durham, and his wife Becky were always giving of their time and hearts. I will never forget the laughs we had, and especially our time working on crazy pilots like "Fun for the Money" and "Bamboozled." Rest in peace, my friend.

Becky...Billy was always a joy to be with he would make us laugh and that was a tough thing to do since all of the RTF hall people were always trying to outdo our fellow classmates in the days at TEMPLE Univ...he .. and tails of his father the Coach..I had a bout of C 15 years ago and I know what my wife went thru. I shall keep you and your family in our prayers.I had not kept in touch after he went to LA.. but everytimg I saw his name in the credits on the tube ,,I would tell me friends that Bill was a College friend of mine.. We shall miss him
God Bless Dennis John Cahill

Bill was first with a joke and first to lend a helping hand. He was passionate about his work but he never took himself too seriously. A lot of my favorite memories from Temple University include Billy and the RTF crowd. He was full of life. My heart goes out to his family.

No one was faster with a joke or to extend a helping hand than Bill. He was passionate about his work and he took it seriously but never himself. Some of my favorite memories at Temple University are thanks to Bill-including a wild night when we were assigned to ride a squad car for a journalism class. He made everyone feel special. He loved life. My heart goes out to his family.

Genuinely warm, genuinely hilarious. Bill was an integral part of our RTF group at Temple. There wasn't anything he couldn't do or do well -- except perhaps keep in touch. But as with so many of us, life oftens gets in the way of living yet Bill was all about being filled with life. His personality would light up any room. Whether enjoying ravioli with the family in Ardmore or laughing up local politics with Uncle Jimmy in Montreal, Billy would always open his arms and his heart making you feel right at home. My thoughts are of his sister, Mariann, his wife Becky and family. Remember the joy, remember the love, remember the boy always inside our grown up friend, husband, father and brother. Save us a seat at heavens dinner table and let us all laugh together once more.

Bill, Steve Korker and I were at times inseparable during our RTF days at Temple, and though our communications were sporadic, whenever we talked it was like we were picking up from just yesterday. He was so funny. How I enjoyed my time with him and his family. A Connecticut guy living off campus at Temple, I felt part of the family when I spent weekends at his home in Ardmore. His mom, dad and sister made me feel so welcome.
Bill's passing is such stunning news. Such a loss. A light has gone out.
My thoughts are with his family.

I am so deeply saddened to hear the news of Billy's passing. Although we had not kept in contact since he left for LA shortly after graduation, I will never forget the great times our tight knit RTF crew shared at Temple. He was truly a great friend..may he rest in peace and my sincerest condolences to his family.

Bill was one of a kind. Our group of RTF'ers were very close in college and although we hadn't communicated in a few years, he has always been in my thoughts and will always be in my heart. My condolences to his family. Billy will be very missed by all.

Blessings.

He was the brightest bulb in the room. One of the best people I ever knew. His family in PA and Canada was very kind to me. The RTF department at Temple would have been a very different place without him. So sorry to hear he lost any battle, let alone one to cancer. To his family...your grief must be so deep. Knowing Billy, I'm certain he loved you all very deeply. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Bill was an immensely creative person and probably the most successful member of our college crowd. More than anything else, I will always remember his ability to make people smile. Rest in peace, my friend. And God's comfort to the family and his many friends.

Bill you will be missed but never forgotten. I still remember when I met you & Becky how you said to me how you were going to beat the cancer & I said you were. You didn't give up, but things got harder for you. I wished they didn't. You wife always by your side & being strong. I admire her dearly. I wish miss those kisses & hugs from you. RIP Bill

If you went through the Lower Merion schools, you knew Bill Paolantonio. He was larger than life. Billy was voted "Most Talented," "Best Personality," and "Wittiest" individual by a jury of his peers in 1966. Quite a testament to a fabulous person.
I was forever grateful that Billy gave my sponser speech when I ran for president at Ardmore Jr. High. He had the crowd curled up in their seats from laughter. I was the beneficiary of his gift to make an impression.
This is a significant loss. His spirit forever lives on within those of us that knew him.
