Ethel Jean "P.J. / Pepper Jean" Sanders

1968 - 2016

Ethel Jean "P.J." "Pepper Jean" Sanders, age 47, of Hot Springs formerly of McGehee, AR passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2016. She was born November 27, 1968 in St. Louis, MO to Robert and Millie McNealey. She was a 1986 graduate of McGehee High School. She was a 1991 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where she was a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She was a former member of St. Peters A.M.E. Church. She was a present member of Visitors Chapel A.M.E. Church where she served as a Steward and an Usher and wherever her services where needed. Ethel was a former employee of the Arkansas Department of Corrections. She was presently employed with Ouachita River Unit Arkansas Community Corrections as a Parole Officer (IRS).

She was preceded by her father, Robert McNealey, Sr. her niece, Ruth Ann McNealey, great grandmother, Katie Essex

Survivors include her mother, Rev. Millie McNealey; her children, Daisha Sanders and Marcus McNealey; her finance', Greg Andrews; her siblings, Terry McNealey, Zerondrick Ridgel, Robert Mcnealey, Jr., Gloria McNealey, Cantrece Taylor, Makayla Taylor Leslie and Nicole McNealey; four grandchildren; two special friends, April Dorn and Gloria Traylor; a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. Peters A.M.E. Church 102 CD Willis Drive, McGehee, AR with Rev. Daryell Howell pastor, officiating and Rev. Gregory C. Nettles pastor of Visitors Chapel A.M.E. Church will serve as eulogist. Burial will follow in Loggy Bayou Cemetery with honors. Visitation will be Friday, September 9. 2016 from 6:00-7:00 PM at Visitors Chapel A.M.E. Church 319 Church Street with the Zeta Phi Beta ceremony.
