Rose Coburn Obituary
GALION: Rose Marie Coburn, 80, of Galion, died Friday, January 10, 2014 at Mill Creek Nursing Center in Galion after an extended illness.
Born October 5, 1933 in Columbus, she was the daughter of Frederick C. and Catherine Christina (Duncan) Klein. She married Lonnie Newton Coburn on August 31, 1974 and he survives.
Rose was a graduate of Central High School, Columbus and MedCentral School of Nursing. She was a member of South View Baptist Church in Galion and worked as a nurse at Community MedCenter in Marion and Galion Community Hospital.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward Eugene and Connie Tennis of Galion and Alan Boyd and Janet Cooper of Great Mills, MD; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Lee and Mitchell Petty of Mt. Gilead and Sharon Kay and John Sampsel of Mansfield; stepdaughter Sonja Jean Schilling of Bucyrus; stepson and spouse, Robert E. and Nancy Coburn of Colorado and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son Thomas Eugene Tennis.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at South View Baptist Church, 6904 Crawford Morrow Line Road, Galion where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Roy Hughs officiating.
