Sharon Morrison

Sharon Morrison Sharon Rose (McIntyre) Morrison passed away peacefully on Friday January, 20 after a long illness. Sharon was the 9th of the 12 children (6 girls, 6 boys) born to Matthew and Eleanor McIntyre of Bad Axe, MI. After graduating from nursing school, she married Ed Morrison, an Air Force fighter pilot, and began an odyssey that started in Port Austin, Michigan and would eventually land her in Northern California to stay. Along the way she had 7 children and made further stops in Michigan, Connecticut and Illinois before settling in Tiburon, CA. Her primary vocation in life was that of Mom and Homemaker. As a Mom, her career can best be summed up as legendary. She raised 7 kids in Marin County in the 1970s and 80's and lived to tell about it. She ranks among the all time career leaders in Little League snack bar assignments taken, Pop Warner carpool miles driven, and Redwood High School graduates begat. She made a great home cooked meal for 9 people every night (!). She saw her kids though horseback riding accidents, skateboard wipeouts, failed human catapult experiments, good grades, bad grades, success, failure, joy and disappointment. She did it all with selflessness, compassion and unconditional love. Hall of Fame Mom stuff. For fun away from her progeny, Sharon spent years anchoring a fierce lineup for the Coffee Cuppers of the Wednesday morning bowling league at Greenbrae Lanes. In later years she dabbled in the thespian arts with the Masque Theater Group in San Anselmo. She was preceded in death by her husband R. Edward Morrison, and granddaughter Marin Morrison. She leaves behind seven loving children (Angus, Edward, Kathleen, Matthew, Mary, Daniel and Andrew), eight grandchildren, two sisters, a brother and a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Sheridan Township, Michigan in July 2017. Private local services are planned. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the US Paralympic Foundation in the name of her granddaughter Marin Morrison.
