Gary Tackett Obituary
Caledonia - Gary Gene Tackett, age 71, of Caledonia passed away Friday morning December 29th, 2017 in Marion General Hospital . Gary was born October 03rd, 1946 in Harold Kentucky as the son of the late Milford & Elizabeth (Robbins) Tackett. Gary was a graduate of Marion Harding High School, a U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam era and a welder for Union Tank Car Company. He was also a member of American Legion Post 401 in Caledonia. He loved to fish and liked camping. Gary is survived by his children, Bryan (Sherry) Tackett of Marion, Andrea (Joseph Jr.) Hickman of Caledonia, Taylor Tackett of Boise, Idaho. His grandchildren, Noah Hickman, Gage Hickman and Jaxson Tackett. He also leaves behind his sisters Janice Hanshaw and Pamela (Jay) Jenner. Funeral Services for Gary Tackett will be held on Wednesday January 3rd, 2018 at the Timson & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow in Green Camp Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 until time of service at 1:00. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Marion County Veteran's Council or American Legion Post 401.
