Jessica Chrobak Obituary

Jessica West Chrobak

NEENAH, WI: You don't love someone for their looks, or their clothes, or their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear. Everyone who knew Jessica West Chrobak, couldn't help but to fall in love with her for she sang a song everyone could hear.

The angels in heaven now have another beautiful voice in their choir, as Jessica Nicole West Chrobak, joined them on Wednesday afternoon, November 9, 2011, because of injuries she sustained in an automobile accident. She was 24 years young and of Neenah, Wisconsin, and formerly of Cardington, Ohio.

On April 12, 1987, Jessica was born at Morrow County Hospital in Mount Gilead, the precious daughter of Charisse (Eckard) West Adkins and Jeffrey West.

Jessica started at the Gilead Christian School and later graduated from Cardington Lincoln High School in the Class of 2005, where she participated in Show Choir, various plays, softball, and 4-H where she showed rabbits and was a reporter.

Furthering her education, Jessica first attended the Ohio State University in Marion, and then transferred to Kent State University where she earned degrees in both Psychology and English, and assisted one of her teacher's with completing a psychology book. While there she also fell in love with a fellow psychology student, Quin Chrobak, whom she married at a small chapel on campus on August 19, 2010.

Together, Quin and Jessica moved to Neenah, Wisconsin, where Quin became a professor at the University of Wisconsin at their Oshkosh branch and where Jessica was working on her master's degree. Wanting to help those with disabilities, she also began working at the Fox Valley Autism Treatment Program helping children with autism. She immediately bonded with her students, and tried to help them form new habits and ways of life.

Having worked most of her life and all through school, Jessica spent the most time working at Perkins Restaurant in Marion as a server.

For Jessica, "music was her therapy". She would sing if she was happy or sad, and when she wasn't singing she was listening to the music that warmed her heart. When she was younger, Jessica loved traveling to different talent shows to sing and dance, going as far as Alabama to sing in a contest and even teaching herself to yodel. She also loved singing in high school and college, and would even sing karaoke in bars if it meant she got to sing.

A very spiritual young woman, Jessica was a member of the Canaan United Methodist Church, where she was baptized.

Having a heart of gold, Jessica truly loved helping people and she wanted to help everyone she could. Through her psychology studies, her goal was to help change the lives of people who struggled with disabilities.

With her fun loving, outgoing and bubbly personality, you couldn't help but to love Jessica. She will forever be missed by her husband, Quin Chrobak of Neenah, Wisconsin; her father, Jeffery (Peggy Reeve) West of Mount Gilead; her mother, Charisse (Larry) Adkins of Cardington; two step brothers, Nicholas Adkins and Devin Reeve; two step sisters, Christin Adkins and Kalen Reeve; twin niece and nephew, Curtis and Morgan Staley; her maternal grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents.

Her family will greet friends from 3 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at the Gilead Friends Church, 3613 Gilead Twp. Rd. 115, Mount Gilead. A service in celebration of her life will also be held there on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Brian Mosher officiating. Burial will follow in Rivercliff Cemetery in Mount Gilead.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), 5900 Roche Drive #250, Columbus, Ohio 43229-3277, in support of her friend, Beth Faulkner.

Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead is honored to have been chosen to serve Jessica's family, and condolences may be expressed to them online by visiting www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.

From sweet little baby to amazing young lady...always beautiful inside and out. NEVER EVER will you be forgotten. Angel Jessica, shine down on all of the moms and daughters down here trying to "get it right". Sometimes we question "when" God picks his angels...but we can't question "who" he picks. <3 Love and miss you!

I worked with Jessica at Perkins. I didn't get to know her well but it was obvious that she was a special soul. I pray that all the family and friends of Jessica find comfort in God. May you live your life the way Jessica did, by making your legacy also a legacy of love and happiness.

My thoughts and prayers are with Jessica West Chrobak friends and family. I was best friends with Jamie who died in May and I can only imagine the pain and sorrow her friends and family are going through. Her father works with my father at General Mills and my dad talked about how sad he was. May you find peace in all of this sorrow and know that she is singing in a choir of angels.

I will always remember Jessica and that beautiful smile she ALWAYS had on her face, that giggle she had and the feeling of happiness whenever she was around! I graduated with Jessica, and feel blessed to have known her. She was an angel here on earth, and now she is an angel with God looking down and watching over all she loved and cherished. I will never forget you Jessica, you will always have a special spot in my heart, and I will cherish all the memories we had together. Everyday that God gives me I will cherish it like you did. My deepest sympathy is with your family, and with Quin. May you rest in peace angel. Sing from the heavens baby girl, we are all still listening.

God bless you and your family in this time of need. Jessica was one of my best friends and was a true angel. I have lots of good memories of her like the time we went to the football game and it was rainy and muddy and we both got sick. We had alot of fun. I will always remember Jessicas smile and her beautiful voice. She was always so bubbly and happy. God Bless your family, and prayers are with you and your family.

Jessica was the loveliest Boylen Sister in Cardington's production of Annie, the only one who didn't need a blonde wig. And my son, Zane, had a terrible crush on her throughout the play. She honored him by taking him to her junior year prom. I can still hear her do the "Bom bom bom"s over and over at rehearsal. A sweeter kid you couldn't meet.

I worked at Perkins with Jessica and she was one of the people whom I will never forget. Having the opportunity to work with her and to be one of her friends was something that I will cherish because she was a phenominal person and I mean that because she could light up a room in an instant. She had such a bright personality and it makes me smile writting this because I had such great times with her. Late nights at Perkins rolling silverware with her and Ashley are times that I look back to and think..."those were the days." We laughed and laughed until we couldn't anymore. She will be deeply missed and the World has lost someone special who could have made such a differance in the people who need it most. Prayers and love are with her family and husband.
