Marilyn Heth Obituary

Marilyn Elaine Heth

LEXINGTON: Marilyn Elaine Heth, age 83, of Lexington, Ohio, passed away at the Country Meadows Care Center in Bellville, Ohio on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. She was born in her family home on September 23, 1930 to the late Glenn and Clara Riddle in Marion, Ohio. She married Warren D. Heth on October 7, 1950 and they shared 63 years together.

Marilyn was a woman of deep faith and was a member of Fairpark Baptist Church. She was a proud 1949 graduate of Marion Harding High School and a devoted OSU and Cincinnati Bengal fan. After retiring from NACHURS Fertilizer she and Warren enjoyed many happy years wintering in Port Aransas, Texas. She loved playing dominoes and cards with her kids and grandkids. In her retirement years she took up golf, a sport she loved but had to give up due to failing eyesight in later years. She was a social person and enjoyed the friendships she formed in the Prospect Chapter of TOPS, at church, through the Lydia Chapter of the Eastern Stars and at VFW post 3313.

Always a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew her. Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Warren of Lexington, Ohio; sons, Mike (Rhonda) Heth of Enon, Ohio, Karl (Laurie) Heth of Urbandale, Iowa, Andy Heth of Lexington, Ohio, and Kurt (Beth) Heth of Jacksonville, Florida. She also leaves a brother, Keith (Emma) Riddle of Albuquerque, New Mexico, a brother-in-law and sister-in law, Lynn and Lawana Heth of Midlothian, Texas; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Riddle and John Riddle and an infant son, Warren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 26 at noon at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio with a visitation time beginning two hours prior (10:00 - 12:00). The Reverend David Rush will be officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chapel Heights Cemetery. The family will welcome friends after the burial at a fellowship time at Fair Park Baptist Church, 940 Bermuda Avenue, Marion, Ohio from 2:30 to 4:30.

The family would like to express our deep gratitude to the staff at Country Meadows Care Center for the wonderful care that Marilyn received as a patient there.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fairpark Baptist Church or The American Diabetes Association.

I grew up with Marilyn on Fies Ave. in Marion, Ohio. She baby sat my sister Shirley and I numerous times, we really liked her. I knew all the family they were great neighbours. I still thank God in prayer for her mom Clara and how she impacted our family and most likely helped me to become a Christian. I am praying for all family members.

I've known Marilyn since I was a young girl. My mom starting working with her at NaChurs Plantfood and Marilyn made it easy to be friends with...she drew people in. I am blessed to have had her in my life. Bless you, Marilyn, and your husband, Dever, and all your sons.
