I have been a CNA for many years and Harlan was unlike anyone I've ever met. Seeing how he was right up to the end has inspired me to be a better christian. No matter how he was feeling he showed gratitude patience and love. He'll be in my heart forever. I know you all miss him alot but be comforted knowing you were all blessed to be apart of his life and he will live on in your hearts forever. God bless and keep you all.

Harlan and Judy were treasured friends of my parents Howard and Shirley Parker from the time we moved to Rogers Ave in 1966. Along with my sister Deb (Parker) Curry , we all loved our new home and neighbors....and such wonderful friends and happy memories! My parents moved to Newburyport, MA in 1981 and then on to Maine but always remained best of friends with both Harlan and Judy. My dad was so like Harlan, so kind, thoughtful and gracious. They both helped my mom when my dad passed in 2007, and that always meant everything to our family.....my mom adored both Harlan and Judy and at 90, it’s difficult for her to know she has lost both her good friends. Much sympathy and prayers to your family at this difficult time. Harlan will be greatly missed.

Harlan and Julia were important people in my life several years ago when I was visiting my parents from VT. I would walk up to their house and they would welcome me in for a chat. Harlan was a soft-spoken attentive listener. He would make me feel like what I thought and said was important and that he could relate to a lot of my experiences.
I valued my time spent in their house on Rogers Ave.
I know that he will be missed. You have my condolences at his passing.

Mr Ladd was a kind hearted man, I was fortunate to have met his son Pete the first day of 2nd grade, and spent many a days after school and sleepovers at there house. Mr Ladd was like a 2nd father to me, lots of memories of him towing their pop up trailer to the Cape or driving to D.A.R to go sailing for the day. Mr. Ladd and Mrs Ladd treated me as one of the family and it made a huge impact on my life. R.I.P. Mr Ladd , please give Mrs Ladd a big hug for me in heaven.
