Dear Cousins,

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Our times together at Bud and Phyllis's are the foundation of the Jones kids memories of our extended family and our Bethlehem roots. As you know, Bud was Shirley and Dick's best man and he was the brother that Shirley never had.

Bud was always my family example of the sacrifices our service men and women made during WWII. I could never read a book or article or speak to another veteran without thinking about Bud and the things he went through.

The parties your parents threw were legendary. I'm sure they have had at least one in Heaven already.

We have missed seeing all of you regularly over the years but please realize how close you are to us in our hearts.

With deepest sympathy and trust that the circle will be unbroken - Semper Fi.

Love,
David, Darlene, Evan and Rachel Jones & Christine and Shirmaine and their families. And for my parents, Shirley and Richard Jones and our brother Richard who we trust has been at that first Heavenly Gerlach party.

Men like Mr. Gerlach are few and far between. We are now losing an entire generation of true heroes, men who postponed their lives and futures to fight for the freedom that we all enjoy today. The war-time achievements are too often ignored or forgotten because many from this generation were, in addition to their valor and sacrifice, also truly humble. Our thoughts are with the family at this time.

Dear Bud, Georgene, Karen & Family -- I am so sorry to hear about your dad. My memories of being at "Phyllis & Buds" house to celebrate ANY occasion as I was growing up, remains with me still. All the kids, dancing in the living room, while the parents were in the basement, the ceiling moving cuz there were so many of us dancing. The outdoor picnics in the huge backyard.. it was always, so much fun. Both your parents were wonderful people. I will keep all of you in my thoughts & prayers.
Sincerely,
Marianne (Antoccia) Keck
