Catherine M. "Cathy" Burns

1948 - 2022

Catherine M. "Cathy" Burns of Lower Macungie passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Cathy was the devoted wife of Fred Burns with whom she shared almost 50 years of marriage. Born August 27, 1948 in Pensacola, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Angelillis) Tedesco. Cathy spent most of her life in the Lansdale area before moving to the Lehigh Valley in 2020. She is survived by her husband Fred and children Barbie (Matt) Vergamini of Upper Macungie and Tom Burns of Perkasie. She was the doting Grandmother of Emma and Sophia Vergamini and Logan Burns. Cathy is survived by seven siblings and their families: Gregory, Marianna, Frank, John, Mary, Bruno (Cindy) and Annette Tedesco. She was predeceased by a sister, Ramona Tedesco. Cathy was employed by the former Philco Ford Co. in Lansdale and also worked in childcare. She was well known for her friendly, outgoing personality and her ability to connect with others. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Instead of a funeral, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
