Elizabeth Yeager Obituary

Elizabeth Yeager
Elizabeth R. Betty Yeager, 80 years, of Fogelsville passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 in Fogelsville. She was the widow of John W. Yeager. Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Ruth (Berry) Transue. She was a secretary for Shapiro & Sons in Easton for 25 years. Betty was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fogelsville Fire Company and was a Bingo helper. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Orefield where she was active in the annual festival. Survivors: Daughter, Susan wife of Joseph Russo of Easton; sister, Marion Solt of Phillipsburg, N.J.; brothers, Edward Transue of Charlottesville, Va., and James Transue of Brainerds, N.J.; three grandchildren, Joseph III, Jenalyn and Jevin; two great-grandchildren, Dominic and Mackenzie; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Helme and a brother, Frederick Transue. Services: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Monday, January 12, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Dr., Orefield with the Rev. Kevin Gualano as celebrant. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the Church. Interment Hays Cemetery in Easton. Arrangements, Keller Funeral Homes Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville. Contributions: To the church or Fogelsville Volunteer Fire Company, c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 52, Fogelsville, 18051.

Sorry for your loss, it is a sad day. Mrs. Yeager was good to me in the short time I knew here and she will be missed, there is not a time I go to Fogelsville I don't think of her.
